The Bagpipe Association of Germany e. V. , the history of Scottish bagpipe playing in Germany, everything to do with Scottish bagpipes, Scottish drums and much more. The Bagpipe Association of Germany , or BAG for short, was initiated in 1983 by Peter Brinckmann and officially became BAG eV on 13 November 1988.

Since its beginnings, the BAG has promoted the dissemination of the music of the Scottish bagpipes (Great Highland Bagpipe) and Scottish drumming in Germany.

If you want to play the Great Highland Bagpipe yourself or one of the Scottish drums, then become a member of the BAG e. V.!

You are supporting the organization of the BAG Piping and Drumming competitions and, among other things, you will benefit from a reduced participation fee at the annual BAG Summer School at Breuberg Castle in the Odenwald. Pipe bands can also become members of the BAG.
